South Shore Double Homicide Suspect Pleads Not Guilty To Elderly Couple's Murder: DA

The man accused of killing an elderly couple at their South Shore home last month is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to charges related to their death, authorities said.

Christopher Keeley, age 27, pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of Carl and Vicki Mattson on Friday, Dec. 16, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz. 

The couple, both 70, were found "bludgeoned and stabbed" to death inside their home at 70 Gotham Hill Road in Marshfield on Nov. 29, as previously reported by Daily Voice.

Afterwards, a "Be On The Lookout" (BOLO) was issued for Keeley, who was apprehended in Miami Beach, FL. a few days later. 

Keeley returned to Massachusetts Friday morning where he appeared in Plymouth District Court. His next appearance is scheduled for February 28, 2023.
